Megan Eiss-Proctor is a versatile and experienced lawyer.
Megan grew up in Virginia and Vermont and graduated from The George Washington University in 2000 with a degree in Political Science. After graduation she joined Teach for America and taught 5th grade at CIS 166 in the South Bronx. After teaching, Megan studied at New York Law School. While there, she was the Executive Articles Editor at the NYLS Law Review and was an active member in the Justice Action Center. She graduated cum laude and became a member of the Bar of the State of New York shortly afterwards.
Megan has been using her law degree to help people since she graduated. After working at a small law firm and then for the City of New York, she officially launched her own practice in August of 2010. While working for herself, Megan developed a strong network of attorneys and other professionals who are available to work closely with her. The combination of Megan’s background, knowledge, ethic, and her commitment to delivering results make her a successful and client-focused lawyer.
While opening her own practice, Megan faced many of the challenges that entrepreneurs often face. Eiss-Proctor Law, PLLC hopes to help others address these issues in a comprehensive and straightforward way.
Outside the Office
When Megan isn’t working she enjoys traveling. She recently returned from a volunteer trip to Rwanda with Hope Shines. While in Rwanda, Megan worked with orphaned children at PAMASOR Peace Village, teaching the children English and math skills along with self-esteem. This trip gave Megan a chance to experience what life is like for some of the many children in need around the world.
